If you don’t know it already, Lisbon (well, Portugal in general) is one of the greatest – and sunniest – destinations in Europe. A couple of weekends ago I went back to Sintra, eat a queijada, have some beers and just walk around the old villa.
You don’t need any Hollywood movie to show you how magical Sintra is. In the photo you can see a part of Quinta da Regaleira, which you should not miss for the world (and if you don’t believe me, I dare you to Google it).
How to get to Sintra?
The easiest way to get to Sintra from the centre of Lisbon is by train, directly from the Rossio train station. You also don’t have to pay much attention to any stops; Sintra is the last stop. Best ticket if you’re staying a couple or more days in the capital is Viva Viagem Zapping = any one-way trip in any tram, train, bus (Carris) or ferry (e.g. to Cacilhas) is the same price = 1.25€, so save yourself some Euros.
If you’re ever in Lisbon and need tips, let me know.
