Many years ago I worked my ass off for the privilege of backpacking for a considerate amount of time around South America, discovering all kinds of places, and all kinds of people.

With this blog (oldie!) I wanted to share useful travel information in an informal way, whether it’s a personal story behind an image, random thoughts, practical suggestions/recommendations (such as where to get a specific street-snack, how to go from A to B, etc.) and the like… without much proofreading.

I also wanted to develop some skills, to some extent, the “virality” of my writing, which I managed to accomplish to some extent.

Thank you for reading.

  1. Hi Pedro,
I just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed your blog and that it’s a bit of a shame there haven’t been any updates for a while. I hope that will be rectified soon! I also wanted to say that we’ve added your blog to the list of links on Sounds and Colours.

    All the best,

    • Hi Russ, thanks for the kind words. Man, I’m so busy lately that I have to schedule my own sleeping time! Among several things, I’m currently recording my ethnic-mix musical project – which hopefully will see the light of day soon. Full of South American influence, of course! I’ll get back on WorldSketches as soon as I can. Cheers!

Hi Pedro! I read the info to go to Machu Picchu, and I would like to ask if you go from Machu Picchu back to Cuzco and how! I am going this August… and it seems quite hard to find an alternative to trains! Thank you 🙂
